NOVEL THAT BEST CONJURED A PLACE OR YOU
It is the sign of a great book for me when the author manages to transport me into the story. There are many books I thought of today, but I am going to pick The King's General by Daphne Du Maurier. Even though I had not much interest in the English Civil War as such, this novel managed to make time and place come alive in my imagination.
