One for fellow Agathytes...
I'm currently watching Agatha and the Curse of Ishtar, which - as the title suggests - is a pastiche on Christie's travels to Iraq. The opening scene on the train strongly reminds me of her novel Absent in the Spring, so I am sure the filmmakers have actually read her work.
I'm really enjoying it.
I've also just looked it up and it seems to be written by the same writer - Tom Dalton - who created Agatha and the Truth of Murder, which against all odds I also enjoyed immensely.
And you all know how much I don't usually enjoy historical fiction or pastiche.
Anyway, I'll probably get back to reading tomorrow.
