Supernavigators: Exploring the Wonders of How Animals Find Their Way - David Barrie

Late to the party, but I finally got around to starting the book. 


I like the Preface. It sets out the different angles of navigational technique in simple terms without being condescending. I'm also really intrigued by Barrie's conclusions to the question of whether humans relying on technology have somehow lost some of the skills of navigation. I hope there were experiments on this. Preferably, experiments that involve abandoning celebrities on distant islands...


But we'll see. There is a whole book to explore before we get to Barries's conclusions.
