Reading progress update: I've read 256 out of 256 pages.

I started a long post / review of The Singing Sands when I came home last night, including details of what I found in the typescripts of this last book of Tey's that I had a chance to look at yesterday, but alas...I accidentally deleted the post in progress. :(
Anyway, in short, I still really, really like the book despite its problems with plotting and its ridiculous mystery. But then, I don't really read Tey for the mystery. It's usually the other aspects of her writing that do more for my enjoyment and interest in the books than solving the whodunnit.
It's a wet and gloomy Sunday up here, so I'm hoping to write up a longer review of the book later today.
