Right, the weekend is upon us, which means that I will need a few choice picks for fine reading and listening to while getting on with chores etc.
One of the books I have been looking forward to most this year is The Monk by Matthew Lewis. It's a classic and it is bound to be very atmospheric. I have no idea whether it is any good, but we will find out.
I will be listening to the audiobook alongside reading the paperback. The Penguin edition I have is the one shown in the post and I love the cover and general feel of the printed edition.
However, I can also see this read taking some time as I enjoy my Gothic classics in small bite-size chunks, not rushed.
