Reading progress update: I've read 50 out of 532 pages.
10% in and I can already say that this will not be a favourite.
Too much amateur romance, too much dialogue that reads anachronistic, too many details that betray the main character to be too unbelievable, too much fluff distracting from the main story about the body found in the lake.
Thankfully, this is Friday night and there is wine.
