I knew about how steam engines work, but I did not know why Thomas was a "tank engine".

So, there. New stuff was learned again.

The section I found the most interesting in this Chapter was about the Rocket Science - not only did I not expect to read about rocket science so early on but I also had not idea that the whole section is based on something that reads like a joke... What do rocket science and stamp collecting have in common...? 

Seriously? Rocket mail? I did not expect this.
